How AI replies work
What counts as an AI reply, how the monthly allowance works, and the languages supported.
Your AI assistant chats with buyers on WhatsApp so you don’t have to answer every message yourself. This guide explains what counts as an AI reply, how the monthly allowance works, and which languages the assistant handles.
What is an AI reply?
An AI reply is one message the assistant sends to a buyer on your behalf — for example greeting a new customer, answering a question about a product, quoting a price from your catalog, or helping move an order forward.
- Messages you (or a teammate) type by hand do not count.
- Messages a buyer sends to you do not count.
- Only the assistant’s own outgoing messages draw down your allowance.
How the monthly count works
Each plan includes a set number of AI replies per month:
- Free — 50 AI replies / month
- Growth — 200 AI replies / month
- Scale — Unlimited AI replies (no cap)
Buvvo counts your AI replies over the last 30 days — or since your current billing period began, whichever is shorter. It is a rolling window, so your allowance refills continuously rather than resetting on the first of the month. Upgrading raises the number immediately — see Plans and pricing.
What happens at the cap
When you use up your allowance, your assistant stops writing AI replies until the window rolls forward. Buyers are never left on read:
- Your shop keeps answering automatically, using the standard guided menu — buyers can still browse, track an order, and reach you.
- Every WhatsApp message still arrives in your inbox.
- You and your team can keep replying by hand, as many times as you like.
- What you lose is the AI writing conversational replies for you, not the ability to sell.
Languages: Pidgin & Nigerian English
The assistant is purpose-built for Nigerian English and Pidgin. That is what it is tuned for and what it handles most naturally — it talks to your buyers the way they actually chat.
On Scale you can also set a custom AI tone and default language for the assistant.
